MSD Mines holds strategically acquired mining leases spanning over 93,000 acres across three of Punjab’s most mineral-rich districts: Mianwali, Khushab, and Chakwal. This operational footprint makes MSD one of the largest multi-mineral lease holders in the region, positioned to meet growing domestic and international demand for essential raw materials.
In Mianwali’s Makerwal belt, the company’s iron ore operations produce over 50,000 tons annually from high-grade deposits, supplying Pakistan’s steel and heavy manufacturing industries. Coal assets across Khushab and Chakwal deliver reliable fuel for industrial energy requirements, while bauxite mines in the Chakwal district provide critical feedstock for aluminium smelting and refractory manufacturing.
MSD Mines also controls over 80,000 acres of potash brine reserves, representing one of the largest holdings in Pakistan’s emerging potash sector. These assets are strategically aligned with the country’s growing fertilizer demand and agricultural expansion goals. Additionally, rock salt operations across the Salt Range serve both domestic industrial buyers and the lucrative global market for premium Himalayan pink salt.
Every lease in the portfolio was acquired based on three criteria: proven geological potential, logistical accessibility to transport infrastructure, and alignment with long-term market demand. This asset-focused approach ensures that MSD Mines grows deliberately, converting mineral potential into measurable production, revenue, and industrial impact.
